Amends existing law to remove language prohibiting a political subdivision from enacting a minimum wage that is higher than the state minimum wage.

Amends existing law to provide an exemption to the applicability of minimum wage law for any employee under the age of eighteen years who is employed by an immediate family member or the family member's business.
The legislation adds a new section to Idaho Code, 44-1504. The new section will provide an exception to Idaho's minimum wage law. Currently, children and family members working on a family farm are excepted from minimum wage regulations. This legislation will provide a similar exception for children and family members working in a family business.
