THE SHORT VERSION
Tally Idaho does not collect personal information, does not require an account, and does not sell or share data with third parties. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site in aggregate.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
No account required
Tally Idaho has no user accounts, login, or registration. We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how visitors use the site — including pages visited, time spent, and general geographic region (country/state). This data does not identify you personally. You can opt out by using a browser extension like uBlock Origin or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Hetzner) automatically records standard web server logs, including IP addresses, browser type, and pages requested. These logs are used for security and performance monitoring and are not shared.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for site functionality. Google Analytics may set its own cookies (_ga, _gid) to distinguish visitors. Google AdSense uses advertising cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browsing activity. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ad Settings (google.com/settings/ads).
DATA SOURCES
All legislative data displayed on Tally Idaho is public information sourced from LegiScan (under CC BY 4.0) and the Idaho Legislature's official website. Legislator names, photos, and contact information are public records.
ADVERTISING
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the site, which helps keep Tally Idaho free. Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing activity.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
THIRD PARTIES
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Because Tally Idaho does not require accounts and collects no personal information directly, most data-rights frameworks apply to us in narrower ways than they would to a site with sign-ups. We still want you to know what protections you have.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information has been collected about you, to request deletion of that information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, port, or erase personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lawful bases for processing are legitimate interest (analytics and security logs) and consent (advertising cookies, where applicable). To exercise your rights, email support@tallyidaho.com.
Personalized advertising opt-out: EU, UK, and Swiss visitors will see a consent prompt for personalized advertising. You can opt out at any time without losing access to Tally Idaho. Visitors in other jurisdictions can opt out of personalized ads at Google's Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative.
