Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding placing certain persons in protective custody without a hearing.

This legislation adds the term "imminent danger" as a clarifying condition for policing agencies to take someone into custody if there is reason to believe they have a neurocognitive disorder and they present an imminent danger to themselves or others.
