LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO Sixty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2026 IN THE SENATE SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 120 BY STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE A SENATE RESOLUTION1 STATING FINDINGS OF THE SENATE, HONORING AND COMMEMORATING STATE POLICE K92 KIMBER FOR HER OUTSTANDING SERVICE, DEDICATION, AND UNWAVERING COMMIT-3 MENT TO PROTECTING THE PEOPLE AND INSTITUTIONS OF THE STATE OF IDAHO.4 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Idaho:5 WHEREAS, under the dedicated leadership and guidance of her original6 handler, State Police Trp. Rob Heise, K9 Kimber progressed from having no7 formal training to achieving full certification in November 2022, demon-8 strating exceptional aptitude, discipline, and commitment; and9 WHEREAS, in early 2024, K9 Kimber transitioned to her new handler, State10 Police Trp. Jayce Miller, continuing her service with professionalism, re-11 liability, and steadfast devotion to duty; and12 WHEREAS, throughout more than three years of service, K9 Kimber has13 played a vital role in enhancing the safety and security of state employees,14 members of the Idaho Legislature, and citizens of this great state; and15 WHEREAS, K9 Kimber's loyalty, courage, and service reflect the highest16 standards of law enforcement and exemplify the valued partnership between17 handler and K9 officer.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the Senate, assembled19 in the Second Regular Session of the Sixty-eighth Idaho Legislature, that20 the Senate recognizes and commends K9 Kimber for her outstanding service,21 dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting the people and institu-22 tions of the State of Idaho and extends sincere appreciation for her contin-23 ued service.24
