Amends existing law to provide for data security compliance training for systems used by the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Fingerprint background checks cost $33.25 each. The department will be covering the cost of all required background checks. Currently, approximately 300 county agents have not undergone a fingerprint background check. There will be an initial cost of $9,975 to complete the background checks of all current agents of the department. The department expects to conduct approximately 100 background checks each year going forward, resulting in an estimated annual cost of $3,325. This estimate covers employee turnover and periodic background rechecks.
