Adds to existing law to provide for violations and enforcement for certain persons who perform conversion therapy and to prohibit state funding for conversion therapy.
The Youth Mental Health Prevention Act protects patients under eighteen (18) years of age or vulnerable adults from the harmful effects of conversion therapy and provides that a licensed, professional counselor shall not engage in the practice of conversion therapy.
