It supports collaboration among state agencies, Idaho National Laboratory, the U.S. Department of Energy, private industry, and academic institutions to advance pilot-scale projects that create high-paying science and engineering jobs while upholding rigorous safety standards. The purpose is to encourage responsible expansion of nuclear fuel cycle capabilities that align with federal law and existing agreements, enhance economic opportunity, and reinforce Idaho’s strategic contributions to the nation’s energy future.
