Amends existing law to revise provisions regarding examinations and a candidate who fails an examination, and to provide that the licensure board may issue a restricted license to engineering faculty under certain conditions.
The amendment authorizes the Board to issue a professional engineering license to engineering faculty with an earned Ph.D. employed at any Idaho university without a written technical examination. The amendment also clarifies the requirements of professional examinations and clarifies the conditions of concerning reexamination for those failing on prior attempts. Fees for reexamination are removed.

Amends existing law to define "retired professional engineer" and "retired professional land surveyor."
The amendment defines the meaning of "retired" as it relates to professional engineers and land surveyors. Itclarifiesthatpracticingorofferingtopracticeprofessionalengineeringorprofessional land surveying on a retired license is prohibited.
