This bill mirrors the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) controlled substance scheduling decisions for 2021, including placing synthetic opioids in Schedule I, an opiate in schedule II, multiple substances in Schedule IV and an anticonvulsant substance in Schedule V.
