This resolution rejects the proposed legislative pay increase as contained in the CITIZENS' COMMITTEE ON LEGISLATIVE COMPENSATION report dated November 14, 2024. Instead, legislative pay will revert to the rate before the increase went into effect.
FISCAL NOTE
▶ Show fiscal note▼ Hide fiscal note
The actual first year savings to the General Fund will be slightly less than the annual savings of salary and variable benefits costs of $658,000 due to the timing of the resolution. It takes effect after the increase went into effect on December 1, 2024, and there is no clawback.
