STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This appropriation to the Department of Finance provides enhancements to the FY 2026 maintenance budget that includes 5.00 FTP and additional personnel costs for a financial institutions IT examiner, a financial institutions examiner, two financial examiner investigator 3 positions, and a financial examiner with a forensic accounting specialty; and IT replacement items.

This appropriation provides an additional $765,800 to the maintenance appropriation provided to the Department of Finance found in Senate Bill 1109. Table 1 shows incremental adjustments to the budget found in the bill, of which the ongoing increase is $696,300 and the onetime increase is $69,500.
