STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of this legislation is to prevent the State of Idaho, it's political subdivisions, or any state officers from mandating the use of face masks, face shields, or other face coverings as a means to prevent or slow the spread of a contagious or infectious disease.

This bill does not require any additional funding or resources from the state's general fund. Implementing or enforcing the legislation will not lead to extra costs, as it does not involve hiring, purchases, or other expenditures. No budget adjustments or appropriations are needed for this policy.
