WildlifeexhibitorsunderaUSDAClassCExhibitorsLicensesince2003aretreatedthesameasmunicipalzoos, except the Department of Fish and Game will continue to regulate importation of cervidae under its jurisdiction for disease purposes and have the ability to inspect animal records in the possession of those exhibitors. The legislation also eliminates much of the duplicity of state and federal regulation of wildlife exhibits for those operatingingoodstandingforthepast20years.ToclarifythatanimalslivinginawildlifeexhibitunderaUSDA Class C Exhibitors License are not generally living in a state of nature, and accordingly, are not included in the definition of "wildlife". It also eliminates the duplicity of state and federal regulations of wildlife exhibits in Idaho.
