Amends existing law to provide that the parent-child relationship shall be terminated if a parent caused a child to be conceived as a result of a sex crime and to provide that the sex offender shall be liable for child support as if still a parent.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation amends Idaho Code so that if a child is conceived as a result of rape, incest, or lewd conduct with a minor or sexual abuse of a minor, then the offender will have their parental rights terminated. Even though the offender's parental rights will be terminated, they will still have to provide child support.
