Amends and adds to existing law to provide for an increase in juror compensation for a trial exceeding five days.

This bill requires that jurors who serve in lengthy jury trials be paid $50 per day, plus mileage, after five (5) days of service. The Supreme Court, through a General Fund appropriation, will supervise reimbursement of the expense to the counties in the amount of $40 per day.
