Amends existing law to revise the qualifications of inspectors.

ThisproposalwouldallowtheDivisionofBuildingSafetytoself-certifyinspectorswithouthavingtopayan outside agency to do so. Inspectors are already required to be licensed as a journeyman or master electrician, and as such maintain continuing education (CEUs) to keep their journeyman or master electrician licenses. The organizations currently providing the inspector certification do not require anything of the inspector in addition to that, but do require the payment of a fee.
