Amends and adds to existing law to provide requirements regarding bail enforcement agents, including agent credentials.

The proposed legislation establishes the State of Idaho's bail arrest empowerment requirements, documentation,proceduresandpenalties. Itdefinesthetermbailenforcementagentandestablishes requirements for who may be empowered to become a bail enforcement agent and lists the required itemsandinformationthatmustbepossessedbyabailenforcementagent. Theproposedlegislation requires a bail enforcement agent to wear clothing identifying himself as a bail enforcement agent during the forced entry of a building. It addresses certain procedures a bail enforcement agent may not engage in while arresting a defendant, and establishes civil and criminal penalties for violating the act.
