Published October 13, 2026 · Sources: Idaho Secretary of State

Idaho voters will choose a U.S. senator on November 3, 2026, but the race will look different from a typical Idaho general election: there is no Democrat on the ballot.David Roth, who won the Democratic primary in May, withdrew on September 1, 2026, according to the Secretary of State's candidate filings.

That leaves 4 candidates for the seat held by Republican Jim Risch, who first took office in 2009.

Risch won the Republican primary with 156,140 votes (67.3%) in a four-way race. Roth won the Democratic primary with 29,534 votes (61.9%) over Brad Moore and Nickolas 007 Bonds. Matt Loesby was unopposed for the Libertarian nomination. Figures are the official canvass from the Secretary of State.
