Current statutes allocate eighty million dollars ($80,000,000) to the state and up to sixty million dollars ($60,000,000) to local units of government of sales tax revenue for these purposes, for a total of one hundred forty million dollars ($140,000,000) each year. The Legislative Budget Book estimates that the local government share will reach forty-two million dollars ($42,000,000) in FY2026. This brings the program’s allocation to a total of one hundred twenty-two million dollars ($122,000,000) in FY2026. Under this legislation, the total allocation of sales tax revenue for these purposes increases to one hundred forty-five million dollars ($145,000,000) in FY2026; one hundred sixty-five million dollars ($165,000,000) in FY2027; and one hundred eighty-five million dollars ($185,000,000) in FY2028 and beyond.
