Amends existing law to provide a penalty for certain violations regarding firearms regulations.

This legislation would add a misdemeanor penalty to the preemption of firearms law in I.C.18-3302J. Currently there is no legal penalty if a political subdivision creates an ordinance to regulate the sale, acquisition, transfer, ownership , possession, transportation, carrying or storage of firearms or any component of firearms. In addition, this legislation adds a misdemeanor penalty for enforcing any federal law that violates the preemption of firearms laws provision.
