RECREATION -- Amends, repeals, and adds to existing law to revise provisions regarding off-highway vehicles.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Current Idaho law does not require non-residents to purchase an off-road vehicle sticker in order to travel upon and play on Idaho off-road trails. The purpose of this bill is to impose a $12.00 sticker fee upon non-residents for OHV off-road travel in Idaho. This fee amount would be the same as the resident fee. Fees collected would be distributed in the same manner as resident fees. This bill allows the department to begin offering for sale a 2-year sticker, similar to as is provided for highway vehicles. The bill addresses other technical corrections in Idaho's OHV statutes.
