STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The legislation adds a new section to Idaho Code, 44-1504. The new section will provide an exception to Idaho's minimum wage law. Currently, children and family members working on a family farm are excepted from minimum wage regulations. This legislation will provide a similar exception for children and family members working in a family business.
